My name is Karen. I provide personalised Spanish tuition for students of primary age, secondary age and adults. I am an experienced tutor with a degree in English and Spanish.
I have lived and taught English in Spain and Latin America. Now I live with my husband and son in Tonbridge, Kent and love sharing my knowledge of Spanish with students across the UK.
Following a free 30 minute introductory consultation, during which we will discuss your aims, I will design a Spanish course that is completely unique to you and provides you with the best opportunities to learn.

My approach is student-led, aiming to build the confidence that is vital to improve fluency and enjoyment in using Spanish.
My teaching is always based on careful assessment of a student's current knowledge and identification of any areas that are causing difficulty.
Tutoring sessions are informal and relaxed providing a different environment to a school classroom.
I offer GCSE, iGCSE, A-Level and International Baccalaureate preparation. I also offer shorter online lessons for younger children including songs, games, stories and puppets.

Online learning...
All tuition takes place using Zoom video-conferencing and whiteboard software.
I regularly use Powerpoint and a pen tablet during tuition. This allows me to offer flexible and interactive online tuition combining speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Students also have access to the Powerpoint resources used in the lessons to use for revision.
